Fantastic! We are delighted to hear of your interest in educating people about plastic pollution and the solutions to this crisis to help spur grassroots advocacy and secure meaningful policy changes. Please note that in order to become a Beyond Plastics volunteer speaker, you must first complete 16 hours of required training, including:
Completing Judith Enck’s Beyond Plastic Pollution seven-week course which is offered virtually (over Zoom) through Bennington College. The class meets on Wednesdays from 7–9 pm ET US in both the early fall and late winter, and costs $100 to audit (or $400 if you wish to receive college credit.)
Completing Beyond Plastics’ free, virtual Grassroots Advocacy training which is offered on a quarterly basis at three different days/times to make it easily accessible to all.
If you’ve already completed these requirements, please complete our Speaker Interest form so that we can follow up with you about next steps. If you have any questions at all, please contact our Director of Training and Community Partnerships, Rebecca Martin at rebeccamartin1@bennington.edu.
