This documentary from FRONTLINE and NPR, reveals how plastic makers for decades have publicly promoted recycling, despite privately expressing doubts that widespread plastic recycling would ever be economically viable. Although this documentary premiered in 2020, not much has changed in regards to prolific plastic production and industry misleading the public with the promise of recycling.
